Our hearts go out to our Puerto Rico colleagues who are struggling in the aftermath and fearful of more tremors. While the situation remains tenuous, we know that our health center partners are already hard at work to support their patients and clients, particularly around issues with mental health. Resources Specifically for Earthquakes
There are a number of organizations that provide information on the local and national level in the case of earthquakes. The United States Geological Survey [2] (USGS) and Ready.gov [2], supported by the United States government, share information and news surrounding the science of earthquakes, including how to prepare for and react to earthquakes in an emergency situation.
Puerto Rico has a local office for reporting, mitigation, education and research related to earthquakes in the area. The Seismic Network [3] provides live updates to emergencies as well as educational material about earthquakes in Puerto Rico. Here you can access maps that show areas of vulnerability and eviction routes in the case of a tsunami.
