I am a PhD candidate in Rhetoric and Scientific & Technical Communication in the Dept. of Writing Studies at the University of Minnesota. I have research interests in medical rhetoric and communication, specifically focused on public health and intercultural communication with respect to the health of the Latino community.

Michael Duke is a social anthropologist specializing in mixed method public health research pertaining to labor, immigration, and Latino/ Latin American populations. He has carried out research with farmworkers, and in farmworkers' home communities, on issues pertaining to substance use, HIV risk, and mental health.
