Claire shared the CBS News article and accompanying video on the update to medical deferred deportation, “Trump Administration to Process Some Deferred Deportation Requests from Sick Immigrants.” The Administration indicated that it will consider applications but it’s unclear under what circumstances people needing life-saving medical care can avoid deportation.

Weekly Win: Amy celebrated Labor Day with a great New York Times piece, “The Remarkable Life of the First Woman on the Harvard Faculty,” on Alice Hamilton, an early and influential advocate for occupational health and safety. Amy says, “She recommended many of the industrial safety standards we now take for granted, and her work with immigrant factory workers was impressive.”
