Friday is here again! Here are five recent news selections that were shared by MCN staff this week. Thanks to the Supreme Court, we have a double dose of the Weekly Win to guide us into the weekend.
Amy shared an article, “As Summer Season Heats Up, Migrant Workers Confront Compounded Coronavirus Risks,” that references MCN’s recent webinar, “COVID-19 and the Realities for Farmworkers and the Clinicians Who Care for Them: A Learning Session.”
Roxana shared a snapshot of Travis County coronavirus cases – stay safe, Austin friends!
Good news slipping into non-Weekly Win portion of Five on Friday proves that it isn’t all bad, all the time. Del shared, “Low-Cost Dexamethasone Reduces Death by Up to One Third in Hospitalised Patients with Severe Respiratory Complications of COVID-19."
Amy also shared, “Migrant child died after release from detention, attorneys group alleges.”
Kaethe shared the video “Coronavirus Q&A: Clinical Update with Carlos del Rio, MD,” from the JAMA Network.
Weekly Win: SCOTUS handed two critical rulings this week, affirming the rights of LGBTQ workers and striking down the attempts to end DACA. Celebrate!
Have a safe and healthy weekend.
