It’s Friday – time for our weekly rundown of recommended resources, opinions, journal articles, and more from Migrant Clinicians Network staff:
Kaethe recommended the Brown Alpert Medical School’s new app to determine the COVID-19 risk level for a given activity, available at https://mycovidrisk.app/.
Alma forwarded on the new video from the International Organization for Migration’s Central and North American branch, in Spanish, “Acuerdo migración y salud.”
Amy shared the NBC News opinion article, “Who Should Get America's COVID-19 Vaccine First?”, while Kaethe offered up a viewpoint from the JAMA Network asking the related question, “Is It Lawful and Ethical to Prioritize Racial Minorities for COVID-19 Vaccines?”
Weekly Win: While the partnership continues to have a ways to go, Karen shared an update from the “Milk with Dignity” program, a partnership between Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and Migrant Justice. Read about the partnership’s first year in this newly released report.
Double Weekly Win: Deliana congratulated the UN’s World Food Programme for receiving the Nobel Peace Prize this year.
Have a safe and healthy weekend.
