It's Friday! Time to round up five articles or resources that MCN staff shared this week. Here are our picks for the week.
Amy was excited to see that the connection between public health and housing was recognized by the government this week: “CDC Issues Sweeping Temporary Halt On Evictions Nationwide Amid Pandemic.”
Candace forwarded on the announcement of a new initiative by Justice for Migrant Women, #SheSePuede, a forum made for Latinas, by Latinas. Visit shesepuede.org to learn more.
Kaethe shared the new MMWR, “Hospitalization Rates and Characteristics of Children Aged <18 Years Hospitalized with Laboratory-Confirmed COVID-19,” which found that “the highest rates of COVID-19-associated hospitalization among Hispanic children.”
Claire sent around a new fact sheet from NACHC: “The Impact of COVID-19 on the Social Determinants of Health.”
Weekly Win: Candace sent along a new study, “Association Between Number of In-Person Health Care Visits and SARS-CoV-2 Infection in Obstetrical Patients,” which concludes that “in-person health care visits were not likely to be an important risk factor for infection” of pregnant women in the study.
