The Curry International Tuberculosis Center in San Francisco is pleased to announce our upcoming Tuberculosis Nursing Intensive - Seattle scheduled for May 6, 2011 in Seattle, WA. This one-day course is designed for nurses, communicable disease investigators, and other licensed medical care providers who work with tuberculosis (TB) patients. Topics include: interpretation of lab results, case management process, contact investigation and LTBI, and more. This course is approved for up to 6.50 Category 1 ACCME continuing education hours/nursing continuing education hours.
This course is for nurses, communicable disease investigators, and other licensed medical care providers who work with tuberculosis patients. The course will cover:
- TB case studies related to case management/contact investigation basics
- interpretation of lab results/basics
- how to manage refugees screening/cultural competency
- case management process
- contact investigations and LTBI
- TB GIMS
- working with community partners for TB control
