Straight Talk: Diabetic Eye Disease in Our Communities

Join the National Eye Health Education Program (NEHEP) and a group of experts in diabetic eye disease for the webinar, Straight Talk: Diabetic Eye Disease in Our Communities.The webinar will feature the short film, “Vision Voice,” produced by Mount Sinai Diabetes Center in New York, which showcases the daily life of three Hispanics/Latinas in Harlem who are living with diabetic eye disease. The film shows how the women’s lives have changed because they were unaware of the consequences of ignoring their eye health. You will:

  • Learn more about diabetic eye disease and its impact on at-risk communities.
  • Discover how the film is being used to help address health disparities and make a difference in the community.
  • See how NEHEP can help provide tools and resources to help you start the conversation and build awareness about diabetic eye disease in the communities you serve.
