This webinar discusses the harmful effects of smoking during pregnancy and how primary care providers, mainly OBGYN’S, can address tobacco prevention in the clinic setting. Learn to identify best practices for healthcare professionals and discuss the impact of tobacco prevention campaigns as it relates to educating patients. Learning objectives: 1) Identify consequences of smoking during pregnancy for patients; 2) Increase knowledge of primary care clinicians (OBGYN) to prevent and reduce tobacco use among pregnant women; 3) Identify best practices for healthcare professionals in tobacco prevention working with pregnant women; and 4) Examine the impacts of tobacco prevention campaigns on primary care education with pregnant women.
