Tuberculosis Nursing Intensive - Seattle
The Curry International Tuberculosis Center in San Francisco is pleased to announce our upcoming Tuberculosis Nursing Intensive - Seattle scheduled for May 6, 2011 in Seattle, WA. This one-day course is designed for nurses, communicable disease investigators, and other licensed medical care providers who work with tuberculosis (TB) patients. Topics include: interpretation of lab results, case management process, contact investigation and LTBI, and more. This course is approved for up to 6.50 Category 1 ACCME continuing education hours/nursing continuing education hours.

The goal of the meeting is to raise the awareness of SCD and Thalassemia, for which public health issues remain real challenges for individuals and families. The learning objectives are to explore issues related to SCD and Thalassemia, screening and counseling during pre-conception, practices in clinical care, and strategies for enhanced health service delivery to better support individuals and families in disease management.
