Next week is Farmworker Awareness Week!
Jillian, Director of Education and Professional Development, reminds us that Health Outreach Partners is offering a webinar on Conducting a Needs Assessment on Tuesday, March 24th.
Jillian also recommends checking out the resources and webinars offered by Intercambio Uniting Communities, a nonprofit that provides inexpensive and well-reviewed interactive English curriculum for new migrants.
Candace, Specialist in Clinical Systems and Women’s Health, sent along HRSA’s newly released 2015 Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) Funding Opportunity Announcement. She also recommends Hesperian Images’ illustrations on women’s health, released in celebration of Women’s History Month. She says it’s “a great resource for anyone needing graphics.”
From Tiffy, Graphic Designer: Primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers are invited to register and participate in the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Virtual Job Fair.
Jennie, Specialist in Child and Migrant Health and Bioethics, heard a piece on her local radio station in Washington about a recent lawsuit against a mobile home park owner who had supplied migrant farmworkers with bug-infested, moldy, dilapidated housing.
