This week, we at Migrant Clinicians Network posted our Health Justice Plan for 2016, which outlines MCN’s advocacy priorities for the year. Our outlined priorities advance health justice for the mobile poor within the arenas of human rights and immigration, access to health care, and worker health and safety. This year’s priorities include:
- Worldwide Refugee Health Access
- Border Health Access
- Border Surge Detainee Rights
- Climate Change & Environmental Degradation
- Ag Worker Access 2020
- Women’s Health
- Global Plans
- Medicaid Expansion
- Worker Protection Standard Implementation and Enforcement
- Chronic Kidney Disease of Nontraditional Causes
- Pesticide Exposure
- Food System Policy
This plan is updated at the start of each calendar year, and features the current year’s advocacy priorities. At the end of each year, we assess our work in each of the agenda items in a year-end review. Please read 2016’s Health Justice Plan here.
