Another very full week here at Migrant Clinicians Network! Here are some updates from the world of public health and health justice that we thought you’d enjoy, chosen by MCN staff members.
Karen, CEO, shared “As Ebola Case Counts Climb, Multiple Outbreaks Beat Down on the DRC.”
Jillian, Director of Education and Communication, asks health center staff to complete NACHC’s newly launched Needs Assessment. Health center response to the needs assessment will inform the development of operational training and technical assistance (T/TA) provided by the 20 National Cooperative Agreement organizations (including MCN!) to health centers.
Del, Director of International Projects and Emerging Issues, sent us “Why more of us should be counting on the CD4 test,” plus a link to download a free CD4 testing pocket booklet.
Amy also shared, “Migrant child died after release from detention, attorneys group alleges.”
The COSECHA Study, a sub-study of UC Berkeley’s CHAMACOS Study, sent around a Radio Novella Series which they produced in Spanish to educate agricultural workers on occupational hazards.
Theressa, Senior Program Manager and Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator, was happy to see news that “HHS Awards Nearly $60 million to Support Community Health Centers Impacted by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria.”
Have a safe and healthy weekend.
