Spring has sprung! The first day of spring -- most evident in the early harvests of asparagus, lettuces, and other tender crops in the markets today -- arrives just a few days before the start of National Farmworker Awareness Week. The Student Action for Farmworkers (SAF) encourages organizations to take action to support farmworkers in their communities or nationwide. For example, this year, the Association for Farmworker Opportunity Programs (AFOP) is organizing a long-sleeve shirt drive for farmworkers. Visit the SAF page to get ideas and learn more about the week’s activities. Have a Farmworker Awareness Week activity you’d like to promote? Tag Migrant Clinicians Network on social media and we’ll repost! Now, on to five resources on health justice that we shared among staff this week at MCN. We’ll share more farmworker-specific pieces next week.

Have a safe and healthy early spring weekend.
