LIVESTRONG Day has evolved from a lobby day on Capitol Hill into an international day of cancer awareness, where we highlight the power of community and collective action in the global fight against cancer. There are 28 million people living with cancer around the world and in 2010, cancer will become the leading cause of death worldwide.
Join us in standing with 28 million survivors this October 2 on LIVESTRONG Day—global day of action to bring awareness to the global cancer crisis and highlight the power of the cancer community.
LIVESTRONG Day is the LAF’s one-day initiative to unite people affected by cancer in raising awareness of cancer issues on a global level and in communities across the country. The Migrant Clinicians Network is supporting this effort by hosting a virtual LIVESTRONG Day to make cancer a global priority. Visit MCN's CAN-track page for more information on Cancer Survivorship as well as other cancer resources. To learn how you can get involved by visiting the LIVESTRONG Day Action Kit page.
