Presented by the Northwestern Association of Occupational & Environmental Medicine LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 1.) Recognize the diagnostic criteria for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and how to make the diagnosis early in its course in order to make appropriate early interventions, 2.) Identify basic tools to treat common sleep problems, 3.) Evaluate the low back pain patient and recognize signs and symptoms that warrant heightened and accelerated scrutiny and action, 4.) Identify 2 bedside assessment tools useful for cognitive screening including executive function, after Traumatic Brain Injury, 5.) Describe different non-opioid options for pain management, 6.) Make informed appropriate referrals for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and/or Mindfulness Training when indicated for chronic pain patients, 6.) Use their knowledge of the incidence of asymptomatic meniscal disease in the general population to help guide clinical decision making, and 7.) Describe the One Health approach.
