The 23rd Annual Midwest Stream Farmworker Health Forum, produced by the National Center for Farmworker Health, Inc. is an annual conference that provides quality, farmworker specific, professional development experiences for individuals in all disciplines within farmworker health. The Forum offers a diverse program featuring sessions on clinical topics, lay health outreach, research, and leadership development. Participants also have the opportunity to gain continuing education credits. So join your colleagues in South Padre Island, for some surf, sand, and sensational sessions!
Call for Abstracts – deadline for submission is June 7th, 2013
Do you have a special project, innovative outreach strategy, or an important farmworker health issue that you would like to share with your farmworker health colleagues? We would encourage you to submit an abstract! Abstracts are currently being accepted, and a high priority is being given to those that highlight the integration and training of Community Health Workers in the healthcare system in an effort to strengthen the delivery of care to farmworkers. Call the Isla Grand Beach Resort in South Padre Island directly at 800-292-7704 or 956-761-6511 and identify yourself as a group member of the National Center for Farmworker Health when placing reservations. Room rates for Cabanas, which provide single/double occupancy, are $95.00/night plus tax and Condos, which provide occupancy for up to four people, are $190/night plus tax. Rooms are limited.
