NCCHCA Presents:
East Coast Migrant Stream Forum
October 17-19, 2013
The East Coast Migrant Stream Forum is a regional conference that is dedicated to improving health outcomes and health care delivery to migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families along the east coast. It was created for health care providers, outreach workers and front-line staff that are employed by federally-funded Migrant and Community Health Centers. Since its inception, the conference has grown into a training venue for staff from a variety of health, social and legal agencies that serve and advocate for farmworkers as well as has been duplicated along the West and Mid-West Streams.

As a tribute to Steve Shore, NCCHCA's second Executive Director, and his commitment to improving the health and well being of farmworkers, the Steve Shore Community Catalyst Award honors others who share this same vision. Each year, through a nomination and selection process, NCCHCA will identify one individual, program or agency, directly or indirectly involved in farmworker health, whose work has incited positive change in the health and wellness of the farmworker community in the “host state” or cluster of states where the East Coast Migrant Stream Forum is being held that year. In 2013, the Forum’s host state is PUERTO RICO.
