PCORI workshop: The Power of Partnership in Research: Applying Patient-Centered Outcomes Research in Racial and Ethnic Minority Communities
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) will host its third Regional Engagement Workshop on November 7, 2013 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Power of Partnership in Research: Applying Patient-Centered Outcomes Research in Racial and Ethnic Minority Communities will provide an opportunity for patients, researchers, and healthcare stakeholders to build relationships with like-minded individuals interested in clinical comparative effectiveness research.
We welcome patients, caregivers, and local healthcare leaders from New Mexico, Arizona, West Texas, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah to join us in building a patient-centered research community, to learn about PCORI, and guide us on how to conduct patient-centered clinical comparative effectiveness research. Attendance is limited to regional participants however, for those unable to attend the meeting, PCORI will make all meeting materials and slides available after the workshop.
PCORI is prepared to support travel and lodging expenses for those requesting assistance.
When scheduling your travel, remember that the agenda includes: a welcome reception featuring a pre-workshop matchmaking session, on Wednesday, November 6, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. (MST).
On Friday, November 8, from 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. (MST), we strongly encourage you to join us for a site visit to a community partner for a New Mexico-based PCORI research project. Site visit attendance is limited and registrants will be added to the site visit guest list on a first-come, first-served basis.
We look forward to meeting you in Albuquerque!
