After an introduction to social services with The Salvation Army, Ms. Diaz pursued her advanced studies at the University of Texas in Austin and received her Master's degree in Science in Social Work in May of 2010, after an internship with UNHCR Armenia working with asylum seekers and their human trafficking efforts. Her work experience includes community organizing, substance abuse services, disaster relief, and areas relative to immigration. Ms. Diaz gives Health Network support with the Ventanilla program on behalf of MCN in order to connect the local community with the appropriate resources. Gooo Austin!
