Alma Colmenero is the oldest of five children and part of the first generation to receive a college education. Colmenero received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin, where her younger brother will also attend. She is originally from San Luis de la Paz, Guanajuato but has lived most of her life in Dallas, Texas. She moved to Austin for college, fell in love with Austin, and could not stay away. She now lives in Buda, Texas with her family. She has been with MCN for over six years. She began as a Health Network Associate, and is now the Prenatal Coordinator for Health Network. Colmenero loves her work with Health Network. “I have always been helping family members get connected to medical care and now I have the opportunity to continue helping others who need access to medical care,” she says.
When she’s not working, Colmenero likes to watch movies and go to the pool. She has a young daughter named Metztli and a chihuahua named Tequila who love to be outdoors when it’s not too hot.
