Leonard Doak Memorial Scholarship in Health Literacy
The Institute for Healthcare Advancement is honored to partner with Cecilia Doak in announcing the Second Annual Leonard Doak Memorial Scholarship in Health Literacy. This scholarship is open to healthcare professionals who practice health education for vulnerable populations in underserved areas and who would otherwise lack the resources to obtain this training on their own. MCN applauds progress on the Worker Protection Standard (WPS)
Migrant Clinicians Network welcomes news that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will soon propose revisions to the Worker Protection Standard (WPS), which provides workplace protections for farmworkers exposed to pesticides. MCN has long urged the EPA to include stronger protections for farmworkers in the WPS.

Engaging Migrant Men in the Prevention of Sexual and Intimate Partner Violence
Migrant Clinicians Network is excited to announce the availability of Engaging Migrant Men Videos and Fotonovelas. With the support of the U.S. Justice Department’s Office on Violence Against Women, MCN has created resources designed by Latino migrant men for other Latino migrant men to engage them as allies with women in the prevention of sexual and intimate partner violence.
Managing Ambulatory Health Care Course
The Managing Ambulatory Health Care course is an exciting collaboration between the Migrant Clinicians Network and the National Association of Community Health Centers. Over one thousand clinicians have completed this continually updated program, consistently rating it excellent for its practicality in the clinical setting, sensitivity to the needs of community health center physicians, and timeliness. MCN will be augmenting the established content with our expertise in Global and Migration Health.
