TB? Maybe Not: The Differential Diagnosis of Tuberculosis A National, Web-based Seminar
Curry International Tuberculosis Center is pleased to announce a 90-minute web-based seminar, followed by a 30-minute question and answer period. This case-based training will highlight common basic dilemmas in the differential diagnosis of TB. The seminar will be broadcast live, via the internet on Wednesday, July 20, 2011.
Goal
With a panel of experts, review case scenarios of the most common diagnostic dilemmas in the diagnosis of TB which will include basic issues in the recognition of NTM, infectious pneumonia, and cancers.

The Role of Outreach in the Patient Centered Medical Home
Because of escalating medical care costs and national health care reform, community health centers are receiving well-deserved praise and attention for their cost-effective and high-caliber health services. Community health centers are particularly well suited to adopt the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model, a health delivery system which incorporates finely coordinated medical care that responds to the needs of the “whole person.” Patients from underserved and vulnerable populations can especially benefit from the personalized and detailed care found within the PCMH model.

Exploring How Knowledge of Legal Rights Impacts Health Care Access among Immigrant Communities
Health care and immigration are leading national issues with community-level implications. According to Health Outreach Partners’ (HOP) National Needs Assessment on Farmworker Health Outreach (2010), many farmworker focus group participants highlighted the urgent need for legal rights education. During this call, HOP’s Experience Panel will examine techniques and special considerations for delivering legal rights education and information to immigrant communities.
