Mary I. O'Connor is an anthropologist who has been conducting research with indigenous Mixtec people in the US and Mexico since 2001. She is currently planning a research project on access to health care by Mixtec migrants in California.

As a professional RDH holding both a BA in Business Management and a Masters degree in Community Oral Health, I am a practicing clinical hygienist and the Dental Practice Manager of Crescent Community Health Center, a FQHC. I have practiced in hospital, pediatric, periodontal, and general dentisrty. My goal is to continue to create better business decisions for our clinic while providing increased access to oral health care for at risk populations.
