Oncology Nursing Certification Review Course
Program Objectives:
- Discuss pathophysiology of cancer.
- Discuss screening and prevention of cancer.
- Recall two aspects of health promotion and prevention.
- Explain symptom management.
- Describe nursing management of oncological emergencies.
- Recall management of long term effects of cancer care.
- Identify nursing management of the psychosocial effects from cancer care and treatment.
- Explain end of life principles.
- Identify ethical and legal issues in oncology nursing.
National Cancer Research Month
Raise awareness of the critical advances in cancer research cancer researchers worldwide, in efforts to ensure a secure future for continued progress against a group of diseases which strike half of all men and one in three women. These resolutions support the dissemination of new knowledge about cancer to speed translation of new scientific discoveries for the benefit of cancer patients and the 10 million cancer survivors living in America today.
