The Century Ahead:Tuberculosis Science, Public Health and Policy
One-Day Symposium
University of California, San Francisco, Laurel Heights Campus
This symposium is intended for scientists, public health professionals and policymakers. The program will feature strategies necessary to contain and eliminate tuberculosis, building upon scientific and public health successes. The event coincides with the centennial of the California state tuberculosis program, established by the legislature in September 1913.

Tuberculosis Drug-Induced Liver Injury "On Demand Webinar"
Curry International Tuberculosis Center/UCSF is pleased to announce the pilot offering of a new training opportunity: The “On–Demand” Webinar series. We asked TB personnel from across the western region to submit "On-Demand" training topics for webinar sessions that directly target issues faced by programs and providers. The requested topic we chose to present on for the first one is “Tuberculosis Drug-Induced Liver Injury.” The webinar is scheduled for October 16 and will begin at 10 am (pacific time).

This two-hour webinar was intended for clinicians and others who are involved in the diagnosis of active TB. The recording consists of a 90-minute web-based seminar followed by a 30-minute question and answer period. This case-based training highlights common basic dilemmas in the differential diagnosis of TB. The seminar was webcast live on July 20, 2011.
