MMWR corrects an error in the vaccination schedule for persons aged 0-18 years.January 23,2007
In the MMWR QuickGuide "Recommended Immunization Schedules for
Persons Aged 0-18 Years—United States, 2007," an error occurred
in the first sentence of the second bullet of footnote 10 under
Figure 2 on page Q-3. The sentence should read, "Administer 2
doses of varicella vaccine to persons aged <13 years at least 3
months apart."
Interim VIS for Varicella, January 10, 2007
On January 10, CDC released a revised interim VIS for varicella.
It includes changes to reflect the new two-dose schedule for
children and the availability of the measles-mumps-rubella- varicella (MMRV) vaccine. After ACIP publishes these updated recommendations in MMWR, a final varicella VIS will be developed.
